This site collects personal information from people navigating significant professional identity transitions. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment, and Kay Een is not a licensed mental health provider. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline). When you use The In-Between Insight tool, we collect:
When you book a coaching conversation through Google Calendar, we collect your name, email address, and the date and time of your appointment.
When you contact us by email, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 18, you may use this site only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
The In-Between Insight tool generates a personalized coaching brief using an artificial intelligence language model (Anthropic's Claude). Your answers to the nine intake questions are sent to Anthropic's API to generate this brief. The resulting brief is a coaching reflection framework produced by AI based on your responses. It is not authored personally by Kay Een, is not a clinical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment plan, and does not constitute professional advice of any kind.
Your data is used solely to deliver the services you have requested:
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Anonymous, non-identifiable patterns from tool responses may be used to improve the tool over time. No personally identifiable information is included in those patterns.
Your data passes through the following third-party services. Each processes only the data required for its function and operates under its own privacy policy.

In the event of a breach of security involving personal information, Kai-Zen Island Coaching LLC will comply with the notification requirements of Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes Chapter 487N. Affected individuals will be notified without unreasonable delay.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion of your data, and to opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email kay@kai-zenislandcoaching.com. We will respond within 45 days.
Regardless of your location, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing kay@kai-zenislandcoaching.com. We will respond within 45 days.
This site uses HTTPS throughout. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. We do not store your intake answers after your brief is delivered and your coaching conversation is complete.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the site or tool after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
